The 2020 Vouvray Sec, tasted in the cellar last year, and this year chez moi , is a quiet, unshowy wine. Its class is clear, and it doesn't need to shout about it with ambitious posturing or fancy winemaking. It is pure and simple fruit finesse. Sitting delicately on the palate, it is all about elegance and simply being. I would give it a higher mark, but it doesn’t have the length it needs, but then I don't think the Foreaus much care about ratings.

The 2020 Sec is a little closed and austere at the moment, but it has all the ingredients for another great dry style from Clos Naudin. It just needs time. There is a subtle pear, apple and hint of spice on the rounded yet transparent palate. The conclusion is firm and structured, and there's even a salty edge lingering on the long finish.
