Solid red and black fruits, nicely integrated oak, vanilla, and spice notes emerge from the 2024 Domaine De L'Aurage. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a round, layered mouthfeel, healthy tannins, and juicy acidity.

100% Merlot. Cask sample. Round, ripe and gourmand. Still has that late-picked, oaky exuberance but with a little more tension this year. (JL)

The 2024 L'Aurage has quite a Burgundian bouquet in terms of fruit profile, with finely delineated redcurrant, Morello cherry, pressed violet and iris flower aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins and notes of dark plum and blackcurrant emerging toward the finish that is light on its feet. Give this a year in bottle and it will be ready to rumble.
