Score 15/20 · Drink 2024-2027, Jancis Robinson MW, Apr 2024
Full bottle 1,416 g. 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 18 months in French and American oak, 40% new. 3,000 cases produced. Mid crimson and a powerful flavour of a commercial chocolate bar – a Mars bar? Rather short and unsatisfactory. (JR)

The Foley Johnson winery is situated in a prime location on Highway 29. The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate offers up standard-issue notes of dried herbs and ripe cherries on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate lacks a bit of concentration. It's supple, silky and easy, pleasant, with decent length but nothing more. At least the price is in line with the quality (by Napa standards).
