Tasted at Château Figeac, the 2011 La Fleur Pourret has a simple, smudged strawberry bouquet. The palate is quite sweet on the entry and with a Burgundy-like fruit profile. Though not terribly complex, one can appreciate the purity of this 2011, although the lack of depth on the finish means that I would be drinking this over the next 3-4 years, not longer. Tasted June 2015.

4 ha on sand and clay. 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Franc. The Manoncourt family bought Ch La Fleur Pourret from AXA in 2002. Bright blueish crimson with light Cabernet nose. Easy, sweet and round. Soft and easy at firstand then a bit stringy. A little bit warm on the end. (JR)
