Tasting notes
Coming from Spring Mountain and aged 19 months in French oak (the amount new wasn’t specified), the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva offers up textbook Spring Mountain exotic blue and black fruits mixed with notes of bay leaf, iron, conifer tree, and spice. Beautiful on the palate as well, it’s concentrated and rich, yet also light on its feet, with silky tannins and outstanding length. It’s going to keep for two decades.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva (made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon) comes barreling out of the glass with profound scents of fresh, ripe blackcurrants, warm black plums, boysenberries and tilled soil with hints of Indian spices, cast-iron pan and pencil lead. The medium to full-bodied palate is elegantly played, refreshing and chock-full of energetic black fruits, textured by velvety tannins, finishing long and layered. 198 cases were made.
