Tasting notes
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is in the zone today. Gently softened by the passage of time, the 2015 has developed beautifully over the last few years. Dark red cherry/plum fruit, mocha, rose petal and blood orange fill out the layers nicely. Readers should expect an opulent, textured style. More than anything else, the 2015 has aged impeccably for a wine in its price range, showing how strong this vintage was in the right hands.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is generous in its super-ripe dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice and new leather flavors. Time in the glass brings out a good bit of aromatic lift to balance the sumptuousness of the super-ripe dark red cherry and plum fruit. This is very nicely done.
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 3% Petite Verdot. It has a deep-purple black color and is intensely scented of crushed blackberries, blackcurrants and cedar with suggestions of baked plums, violets, aniseed and spice box. Full-bodied, the palate is sporting a fair bit of wood, lending to the chewy frame and defining the finish.
Tasted from barrel, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is a noticeable step up from the 2014, especially in its overall balance and sumptuousness. Dark, powerful and authoritative, the 2015 is done in a style that sjows the darker, more powerful side of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
