Tasting notes
Medium-deep bright red. Lovely lavender and sage topnotes lift aromas of red berries and cocoa powder. Firmly built and sharply delineated, offering lovely floral energy to the vibrant flavors of red berries and wet-stone minerality. The pH here is under 3.7, which helps to hide the wine's 14.6% alcohol. This suave, floral beauty has the firm tannic structure for a graceful evolution in bottle.

Sensational stuff, the 2012 Camerata (91% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc) is big, burly effort that offers classic Red Mountain structure and depth. Giving up lots of black cherry, crushed rocks, dried violets and graphite, it is savory, powerful and concentrated on the palate. It needs 4-5 years of cellaring and will hold for two decades after that.
