Tasting notes
The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino is a rather soft, accessible red with good definition in its aromas and flavors, and an attractive, plump personality. Tar, licorice and crushed raspberries add complexity as the wine opens up in the glass. This mid-weight, juicy Brunello is best enjoyed over the next few years.

Deep ruby with orange-brown tinge. Shoe polish and minerals. Backward on the palate but there is some genuine fruit lurking underneath. Crunchy sweet-sour impression and interesting, almost complex finish. Big structure. Wait. (WS)
