Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Fathom Petit Verdot has vague black fruits on the nose with touches of herbs and turned earth. The palate is surprisingly light-bodied, soft and juicy with a slight bitterness on the finish.

Blueberries, currants, tobacco, and a subtle earthiness all emerge from the 2018 Petit Verdot Fathom, an inky hued, medium to full-bodied, rich and mouth-filling Petit Verdot that should evolve for 7-8 years, if not longer. It's slightly chunky yet still stays fresh and lively, and it’s certainly a satisfying red that will shine with a steak or heartier meal.
