Tasting notes
The 1995 Torre Muga is dark ruby-colored. Dense on the palate with plenty of layered fruit as well as a firm structure, it is nearing its peak where it should remain for another 10-12 years. Importer: Jorge Ordonez, Fine Estates from Spain, Dedham, MA; tel. (781) 461-5767

Deep red-ruby color. Penetrating, somewhat exotic aromas of raspberry, currant, red licorice, clove and espresso. Wonderful sweetness without excess weight; at once seamless and brilliantly delineated (the fruit in '95 was high in sugar and acidity). Not quite as fleshy as the '94 but perhaps less evolved at the same stage of its evolution. Finishes with superb length and grip. Should ultimately merit a higher score.
