2010 Santa Barbara - Pathos

The weight of the glass bottle alone lets you know that this is a super rich and concentrated wine. The 2010 Pathos pours into the glass with rich intensity and an inky black color. The aromas are heavy and thick with dried blackberry, prune, barbecue spice and Teriyaki sauce. Those aromatic layers are deep and penetrating. Those same themes of richness, power and soft extract continue to the palate. The finish is slightly sweet and there is a delicate touch of tannic firmness that gives the wine a solid backbone.
