2012 Corazon Del Sol Malbec Gran Reserva

The 2012 Gran Reserva Malbec aims to express the character of Los Sauces, the place in the Uco Valley where the vineyards are located. This Malbec was planted in 2008 and 2009, so this is basically the first wine from those vines. It was bottled in July 2014. Subtle and even a bit shy, though quite elegant, it requires an energetic swirl to get the violet aromas going. They limited the yields to obtain a juice that you'd struggle to say comes from young vines. There are some spicy flavors from the oak that make the wine quite showy. There is good balance here and the wine drinks very well already. 1,176 bottles produced.
