2019 Hirsch Riesling Gaisberg

The 2019 Ried Gaisberg Zöbing 1ÖTW Kamptal Riesling is concentrated and flinty on the nose, but the dried fruit and herbal aromas and most of all the foreshadowed petrol notes indicate a certain stress situation. Crystalline and salty on the palate, this is a dense and concentrated, juicy and piquant Riesling that lacks a certain finesse and depth even though it is an attractive wine for the next couple of years. There are juicy apricot aromas on the aftertaste. 13% alcohol. Tasted at Schloss Gobelsburg in June 2021.
