Barolo. Concentrated maturing ruby with orange rim. Graphite, a hint of tar. Ripe and sweet and with pronounced dried-fruit notes, but in essence elegant. Before it becomes too overpowering gentle cherry turns up. Gritty but attractive, tactile tannin and a complex, long finish. (WS)
