2016 Chassagne Montrachet Les Dents de Chien

(Morey made just half of a normal crop): Delicate aromas of citrus zest and flowers accented by fresh herbs. At once chewy and nicely delineated, displaying a lovely sugar/acid balance to its flavors of lemon, anise, herbs and flowers. Morey notes that this wine is more his style than most of his other 2016s--and it's more mine as well. The rising finish shows a delicacy and avoids dryness.
