Tasting notes
Wonderfully charming, medium-bodied, and balanced, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking well today. Red and black fruits, spice, dried flowers, and some leafy herb notes come together in a polished, balanced, layered package. Coming from 50% Coombsville estate fruit with the rest from Oakville and Rutherford (and some purchased fruit), it's based on 83% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc and was aged 18 months in French oak, 30% new. I'd happily drink a bottle. Drink 2025-2031.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is solid, with classic varietal notes of ripe currants, tobacco, leafy herbs, and damp earth. This balanced, medium-bodied, elegant effort is going to keep for a decade.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon has pure scents of crushed blackberries and blackcurrants with touches of cigar box, underbrush and bay leaves. Medium to full-bodied, chewy and with just enough savory fruit, it finishes on an earthy note.
