Bright lemon freshness – pure, zesty fruit, just a touch salty to add complexity. Intense and also creamy on the palate. A bright line of fruit encased in a creamy texture. (JH)

The 2015 Chassagne Montrachet Villages, which comes from three parcels, has an earthy bouquet that just needs a little more complexity to come through à la 2014. The palate is clean and pure with lightly honeyed fruit, subtle tropical tones leading towards quite a generous finish that like many village crus, feels just a little smudged. Still, this should provide easy-drinking pleasure over the next 3-5 years.
