Very pale ruby. Light, sweet and jewelly but the acidity and still some tannins are starting to dominate the fruit. This desperately needs food if it is to be drunk now. (JR)

An intriguing nose of allspice, cinnamon, and cloves intertwined with cherry cough syrup and smoke is followed by a medium-bodied, complex yet understated Barolo. Drink it over the next 10-12 years.
