Score 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2009
(for 375 ml.; about 21% residual sugar) Pale yellow-gold. Peach and apricot nectar and honey on the slightly high-toned nose. Dense, thick and sweet, but the fruit salad and honey flavors are kept fresh by ripe acids. Finishes bright, pure and long, with an enticing sugar/acid balance. Made from frozen scheurebe grapes, but vintages that bring botrytis to the fruit (2006 was the most recent one) are exceptions.
