Inky ruby. A highly perfumed bouquet displays scents of ripe dark berries, incense, vanilla and candied flowers, and an intense mineral nuance adds energetic lift. Stains the palate with vibrant black and blue fruit liqueur, spicecake and violet pastille flavors while a core of zesty acidity provides spine and lift. Velvety tannins build slowly through an impressively long, well-delineated finish, which leaves dark fruit preserve and candied violet notes behind. Aged for 22 months in new French oak. There's a designated-driver-inspiring 16% alcohol here.
