The 2018 Pommard Les Argillières 1er Cru, from clayey soils, includes 20% whole cluster and 45% new oak. It has an ebullient, generous bouquet of flattering red currant, cranberry and raspberry aromas, floral and very harmonious. The oak is seamlessly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, fleshy tannins that impart greater volume and more density than some of Parent’s other Premier Crus and lend gentle grip on the finish. Excellent.
