Tasting notes
A very pretty vintage from this parcel, the Pinot Noir in the 2014 Champagne Dizy Terres Rouges Extra Brut is from the plain of Dizy. The wine offers an attractive blend of red fruit, including strawberries and raspberries, with a refined and airy, creamy mousse that lifts it and floats on the palate, accompanied by notes of white grapefruit and candied citrus, lasting through the finish, with just a delicate, salty spice to frame the wine's structure. Drink 2025-2045.

The 2014 Extra-Brut Dizy-Terres Rouges Premier Cru is a wild, exotic wine. Long aging on the lees and a bit of time post-disgorgement result in a Champagne that is wonderfully expressive right out of the gate. Rose petal, star anise, dried flowers, mint, iron, spicecake and kirsch are some of the many notes that take shape in this dynamic, complex Pinot. The 2014 opens beautifully with time in the glass. Finished with no dosage. Disgorged: March 2024
