2021 Fratini

Pouring a bright yet rich red/magenta color, the 2021 Horetense is highly expressive in the glass with notes of the essential oils of medicinal herbs, black licorice, cassis, menthol, and cigar box. It’s full-bodied and saturates the palate with salty earth, the deep richness of pure liqueur-like fruit, and a long finish. It’s a contemplative wine that will improve over the next two decades. This estate has a lot of potential.
