Quiet nose but gloriously punchy palate laced with lime and almost venomous acid. Zesty, serious, textural, utterly mouth-watering. (RH)

Funky nose – not recognisably Chenin Blanc to me. Bone dry and pretty tart. Certainly makes a statement against all those sweetened-up whites but it's not ready yet. (JR)

The 2015 Chenin Blanc Buddhas Dharma Vineyard is bold, ample and creamy on the palate, with plenty of apricot pit chamomile, dried flower and honey notes. These old vines, planted in the 1940s, along with the natural richness of the year, produced an especially phenolic, intense expression of Chenin.
