Tasting notes
Leading off the three appellation releases, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville offers a gorgeous nose of cassis, iron, crushed stone, and tobacco. Straight and focused on the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, has a classic 2018 tannic profile, remarkable purity, and a great finish.

Sourced from the southern end of Oakville (behind Brix restaurant), the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is Clone 337. Scents of cinnamon, blackberries, cassis and cedar mark the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, a bit more streamlined and potentially age-worthy but not as plush and generous as either the Coombsville or Rutherford bottlings.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville emerges from Blocks 1 and 3 at Vine Hill Ranch. It offers striking aromatic intensity, beautifully layered fruit and exceptional balance. Sweet floral, spice and savory accents lend brightness right out of the gate. Hints of graphite, dried herbs and licorice develop with a bit of time, adding further shades of dimension. This is an impressive showing, to say the least.
