Score 88/100 · Drink 2017-2027, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2016
Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Richebourg Grand Cru has a note of bacon fat on the nose, quite well defined, toasty and savory (a touch of morels here?). The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannin, moderate weight, sweet with brown sugar notes towards the plush finish that lacks some backbone. This is just not the style that ticks my boxes. Tasted September 2016.
