Score 93/100 · Drink 2018-2024, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jun 2018
The 2014 Malbec Reserve is another highlight in this range from Chateau St. Jean. Super-ripe dark cherry, chocolate, leather, spice and menthol are all given an extra kick of textural intensity in this flamboyant wine. Drink it over the next handful of years.

Score 91/100 · Drink 2017-2024, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Oct 2017
Possessing just a dollop of Merlot (5%), the 2014 Malbec Reserve has an inky purple-black color and is scented of cassis, dried mulberries, warm plums and baked cherries with hints of baking spices and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, it has a chewy backbone and relatively restrained fruit in the mouth, finishing with savory/earthy notes.
