2019 Drouhin Oregon Roserock Chardonnay Maigold

A barrel selection, the 2019 Chardonnay Maigold is powerful and dynamic, with notable textural presence and tremendous length. Candle smoke and dusty mineral character complement quince and lemongrass aromas, replete with tones of beeswax and pastry. The palate is energetic and minerally, with pure, expressive fruit and a very long finish. Its 50% new Damy oak is already well integrated, so it's lovely to drink now, but it will continue to pick up more of those savory tones with time in bottle.
