This very ripe and powerful Napa cabernet carries itâs 15.5 per cent alcohol almost effortlessly and feels silky on the palate, in spite of the scale of the wine and the enormous mass of supple tannins. An avalanche of blackberries, plums and forest berries, easily carrying the smoky oak. Where is that huge steak? Drink or hold.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Transcendent is deep purple-black colored and features beautiful floral notes of violets and lavender over a core of red and black currants, black cherries and warm plums plus hints of cigar box and menthol. Full-bodied and full-on pedal to the metal in the mouth, the palate is packed with black fruit layers and ripe, velvety tannins, finishing long and perfumed. One for the hedonists!
