Score 94/100 · Drink 2014-2024, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, May 2011
Produced from 100% Shiraz, the 2009 Springflat casts a deep garnet-purple color, giving fragrant aromas of Indian spices, licorice, mulberries, dark chocolate and blackberry tart. Seductively rich and ripe, it has medium-firm velvety tannins, high acidity and a long berry-laced finish. Approachable now, it should gain more depth with another 2 years+ in bottle, drinking best 2014 to 2024+. Note that as in 2008, no Duck Muck was produced in 2009.
