Tasting notes
Deep crimson. Very ripe nose – was this picked just a tad late? Very luscious and round and fresh and fluid but the aromas are a teensy bit over developed. SO different from the leaner 2009! (JR)

The 2008 Shiraz casts a very deep garnet-purple color, giving really intense black cherry and warm plum aromas with some earth, chocolate, a little soy and marmite. Medium to full-bodied with racy acid and a medium level of grainy tannins, flavors of baking spices really come through on the palate, finishing long. Drink it now to 2015. Meat, pickle, violets, a bit of reduction adding a pleasant funk. Jammy and intense on the palate, but with beautiful definition. A sure-footed, self-assured Shiraz. Very good. (RH)
