A step up over the 2017, the 2018 Good Times, Bad Times is similarly deep purple and has a terrific perfume of red and black currants, smoked tobacco, graphite, and background bouquet garni-like nuances. It’s concentrated, medium to full-bodied, has a balanced, elegant mouthfeel, and enough tannins to warrant another 3-4 years of bottle age. As with many 2018s, there’s certainly an Old World-like feel in the acid and tannin balance, and this should be long-lived.

The 2018 Good Times, Bad Times Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard offers more intensity than either the 2017 or 2019, with bold plum, cassis, cola, cedar and tobacco notes. It's full-bodied, rich and velvety yet vibrant and with a touch of crispness to the finish that augurs well for aging.
