Score 93/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, May 2023
A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot, the 2019 Red Wine Sage Vineyard comes from a 22-acre property on Mount Veeder. Pencil-like hints on the nose accent ripe cassis fruit, while the palate is medium to full-bodied. It's a more serious, structured wine than the Cabernet Franc, with a certain firmness and austerity to the lengthy finish. I'd give it at least a few years in the cellar, but it should still be going strong in 15 years or so.
