Tasting notes
There are 125 cases of the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and it's a barrel selection from all three single vineyards, blended with a splash of Petit Verdot. Deep purple-hued, with a great, classic nose of blackcurrants, cassis, toasted spice, tobacco, and lead pencil, it's medium to full-bodied and has wonderfully integrated oak, ripe yet building tannins, and a great finish. This ultra-classic, impeccably made Cabernet Sauvignon will benefit from short-term cellaring and keep for 15-20 years.

The 2018 Reserve Proprietary Red opens with notions of dark chocolate, unsmoked cigars, forest floor and black truffles, leading to a core of blackcurrant preserves, blackberry pie and stewed plums. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers a burst of black fruit preserves and savory accents, supported by a solid structure of grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with great length. 112 cases were made.
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Reserve is packed with inky dark fruit, chocolate, new leather, licorice and cloves. Give the brawny tannins a year or two to soften.
