Tasting notes
The 2018 In My Dreams is a blend of 58% Grenache, 18% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano, 6% Tannat and 6% Carignan. Scented of wild berry preserves, licorice and dried flowers, the palate is silky, fresh and perfumed, with detailed spicy accents emerging on the finish. It deserves another 2-3 years in bottle.

The 2018 In My Dreams is also terrific, offering lots of red and black raspberry-like fruits as well as spicy, Provençal herbs and saddle leather-like aromas and flavors. A blend of 58% Grenache, 18% Tempranillo, 12% Graciano, and the rest Tannat and Carignan, aged in a mix of tank and new and used barrels, this full-bodied, supple, beautifully elegant red will keep for a solid decade. Matt Trevisan continues to make brilliant and singular wines from eclectic blends under his Linne Calodo label. As I say in some of the reviews, I continue to find a small amount of spritz in many of Matt’s new releases. I suspect this is just trapped CO2, so don’t be afraid to give these a solid decant if drinking any time soon.
