1990 Nuits St Georges Les Poisets

Arnoux's 1990 Nuits St.-Georges-Les Poisets offers up a compelling bouquet of smoke, herbs, sweet black fruits, and minerals. In the mouth, there is excellent richness, full-bodied lusciousness, velvety texture, and a heady, explosively long, ripe finish. Drink it over the next 7-9 years. Unquestionably, the 1990's are Robert Arnoux's finest wines since his 1978s and 1980s. During much of the eighties, because of his predilection to over-crop, good, rather than dazzling wines were made. These are exciting, dramatic Pinot Noirs.
