Deeper colored and from the Sta. Rita Hills, the 2018 Pinot Noir Reserve gives up plenty of mulberry and darker currant fruits as well as ample spice, leafy herbs, and dried, savory earth notes. With background oak, medium-bodied richness, and plenty of length, this solid effort is going to evolve for 7-8 years.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Reserve (Sta. Rita Hills) stands out in this range for its texture and breadth. Inky red and purplish berry fruit envelop the palate as the 2018 shows off its curves. The blend of 70% John Sebastiano and 30% Fiddlestix is compelling. This is such an alluring Pinot.
