Tasting notes
Blended of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 20% Petit Verdot, the deep purple-black colored 2015 Headwaters Proprietary Red offers vague tar, leather and spice box notions with a core of baked berries and prunes. The palate is full-bodied and a tad hollow with a chewy frame and warm finish.

Coho's 2015 Headwaters is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Dark and unctuous in the glass, the 2015 offers plenty of depth in its suggestions of succulent red cherry, pomegranate, vanillin and sweet French oak. At times, the 2015 is a bit alcoholic, otherwise, it is well done. Like all of these wines, the Headwater suggests there is quite a bit of potential.
