2015 I Pentri Kerres Piedirosso

The 2015 Kerres Piedirosso is intense with a musky animal edginess which provides further intrigue, as notes of mineral-laced crushed raspberry, savory herbs, and a hint of brown spice evolve in the glass. On the palate, silky textures are perfectly offset by tart red berry fruits, as notes of spiced citrus and sage develop. The finish is long, as a coating of citrus-kissed blackberry and black raspberry slowly fades, leaving remnants of saline-infused undertones and a distinct hint of tobacco. There's so much tension here and I can see by tasting the more mature vintages around it, that there's a lot to look forward to down the road.
