Tasting notes
A blend of 52% Chardonnay, 43% Pinot Noir and 5% Meunier, the 2018 Vintage Brut features scents of green apple, pear and elderflower with touches of freshly baked bread. The light-bodied palate is dry, creamy and rounded with youthful fruit and a simple, refreshing finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.

52% Chardonnay, 48% Pinot Noir. Chardonnay clone 76 sourced from Carabella Vineyard and harvested 9 September 2018. Pommard Pinot Noir sourced from Crawford Beck Vineyard and harvested 13 September 2018. Fermented and aged seven months in neutral barrels, bottled and spent two years on the lees before disgorgement and a dosage of 6 g/l. pH 2.96, TA 8.3 g/l. 204 cases produced. BCorp-certified. What a stunning nose! Brioche, lemon curd, yellow apple, and a touch of caramel. This is wonderfully rich and textured. Acid is high but with a round mouthfeel. So well-balanced. Sparklings in WV run a pretty penny but this is fairly priced for the quality. (SCJ)
