Tasting notes
Ripe red and black fruits, spicy wood, and damp earth define the 2024 Clos Badon Thunevin. Rich and medium-bodied on the palate, it shows a round and supple texture, ripe tannins, and an elegant character, with good balance and length.

Intense, spicy, fragrant, leafy, these are wines that manage to take the qualities of the vintage and do their very best to work with them, delivering a gourmet kick while here not fully avoiding the austerity of 2024. Harvest 27 September to 8 October. 3.7 pH. 100% new oak.
The 2024 Clos Badon is a racy, extroverted wine. Cabernet Franc picked very late, on October 8, confers a decidedly exotic quality that matches well with the wine's opulent fruit. Blackberry jam, chocolate, sweet spice and grilled herbs are all pushed forward.
The 2024 Clos Badon-Thunevin, matured entirely in new oak, is predictably dominated by the wood on the nose. Just faint touches of mint develop in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with an oaky entry, modest depth and a slightly short finish that needs more fruit to come through to maintain balance.
