The 2024 Monbrison is light in color, depth and overall structure, all of which are evident in this sample.
The 2024 Monbrison lacks some delineation on the rustic nose and needs more freshness. The palate is medium-bodied and quite firm in the mouth with grainy tannins and a bit of hardness on the finish. A "solid" Margaux that is denuded finesse by the growing season.
Red currants, flowers, peppery herbs, and spearmint form the character here. Medium-bodied, bright, and crisp, the vibrant red fruits, with their peppery, spearmint accents are present from start to finish. This will be at its best in its youth.
