Tasting notes
A jolt of bright, fresh, red currants, topped with espresso, strawberries, and cocoa in the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is crisp, and firm, with a minty, herbal note in the finish.

A supple, fruity and textured red with currant and mild-spice aromas. It’s medium-bodied with chewy tannins. Firm yet juicy at the center with a focused finish.
More ‘f’s and ‘t’s than any other Laf(f)it(t)e and quite a lot of extraction in this vintage too. Oaky. To be fair, it’s not dry on the finish and neither is it tart or astringent, which is already an achievement. But it’s a little unrefined and un-delineated on the palate and the fruit a little blitzed. Less might have been more here.
The 2024 Laffitte-Carcasset is terrific. Persistent floral and earthy notes, red-toned fruit, new leather and cedar give this mid-weight Saint-Estèphe a good deal of complexity. The 2024 impresses with its energy and fine balance, both commendable in this challenging vintage.
