Tasting notes
I’ve always liked this and I look for it on restaurant lists around Bordeaux. But I find it almost a little severe in this vintage. It certainly has a racy, energetic and vivid acidity, but it’s almost too much – even for me. Nettles, freshly cut grass, hay, fennel and fifty shades of citrus! Lime and linden. Chewy on the finish and intensely juicy, this is made for a strikingly hot day served very cold – but it’s almost shockingly crisp in the mouth (it could almost do with bubbles – sorry, that’s a rather heretical thought I suspect).

Based on 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon, the 2024 Château Fourcas Dupré Blanc reveals juicy citrus, grapefruit, and minty nuances. Medium-bodied and impeccably made, it shows clean, crisp acidity and stays focused and balanced on the palate.
Crisp, sweet, fresh, and fruity, with loads of lift, and energy in its yellow citrus and white peaches. The wine blends 70% Sauvignon with 30% Semillon.
The 2024 Fourcas Dupré Blanc has a pleasant grapefruit-, nectarine- and yellow plum-scented bouquet that has a skip in its step. The palate is fresh and lively with lime and citrus fruit tones. This is not complex or long, yet it's refreshing.
About the producer

This estate saw a transformation when Guy Pagès bought it in 1970. His work, driving quality higher with increasing attention to detail and passion, has been continued by his son Patrice, who took over in 1985.
