Tasting notes
The 2024 Château du Retout has a touch more ripeness and presence on the nose compared to its peers, with hints of blueberry developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins, gentle grip and a cohesive, peppery finish. This is actually quite pleasant and should drink well for several years.

Opens with bright fruits, redcurrant and raspberries, touch of lemongrass and chalk, reflecting acidity levels that struggle to delivery full balance. Always a consistent name in the Haut-Médoc, things are austere in 2024 but there is understated charm.
