Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2037, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018
Harvested ten to 14 days after the Kabinett, the 2017 Steiner Riesling Ried Pfaffenberg Selection is clear and elegant but still yeasty on the intense and spicy nose. Creamy textured and juicy but very fine and elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, clear and fresh Riesling with a long and firmly structured, slightly tannic finish. The Pfaffenberg is powerful and astringent right now, but it has a long life ahead. Tasted in Unterloiben/Wachau, September 2018.

A very seductive dry riesling that has an extremely succulent peach and exotic-fruit character. Then, just when you think the show might be over, in comes the very long, super minerally finish. Drink or hold.
