Tasting notes
The 2012 Temperance Hill Pinot Noir comes from a single block of 20+ year old vines and matured in 35% new French oak. It has a taciturn nose at first, but it awakens with a couple of swirls to reveal tertiary, undergrowth-infused black fruit that is nicely defined. The palate is medium-bodied, classic in style, supple in the mouth with a lovely autumnal finish. Very fine.

Bright ruby-red. Spice-tinged aromas of raspberry, cherry, licorice and cola, with a suave cola nuance emerging with aeration. Silky and seamless in texture, offering vibrant cherry and red berry flavors, a note of candied licorice and a touch of refreshingly bitter blood orange. Finishes smooth, sweet and long, leaving allspice and red fruit preserve notes behind.
