Medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard opens slowly to aromas of charcuterie, dried orange peel, potpourri and loads of pretty earth notes in the undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate has a fresh but firm frame, seriously styled with nuanced fruits and a long finish.

The 2017 Pinot Noir Wendling Vineyard is a new wine from Cobb from a world-class site in Anderson Valley that will become better known as more producers make wines from it. Deep, unctuous and beautifully layered in the glass, the Wendling is breathtaking from start to finish. The 2017 is a wine of sheer sensuality. Don't miss it.
