Tasting notes
Classic citrus, sappy herbs, mint, and savory herbs define the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, with touches of minerality adding complexity. Bright and racy on the palate, this impeccably made, balanced effort has a juicy, fresh character with grassy and citrus notes. Aged eight months sur lie in a mix of new French oak (23%), neutral French oak (35%), and stainless steel (42%), drink it over the next 2-3 years.

Fermented and matured in a mix of stainless steel drums (60%) and 500-liter oak puncheons (40%), Inglenook's 2022 Sauvignon Blanc comes from vines planted near Highway 29, at the front of the property. Grassy, grapefruit-like notes lead the way, with touches of passion fruit also apparent on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is plump and appealing, then tapers into a long, mouthwatering finish.
Full (heavy) bottle 1,570 g. Contains 6% Sémillon. Aged for eight months sur lie in a combination of 55% stainless steel and 45% French oak (16% new). Certified organic. Smells of struck match and salty lemon zest. Saline flavours of lemon zest and grapefruit have a touch of green apple and lime that linger with wet-chalkboard minerality in the finish. Excellent, mouth-watering acidity. (AY)
