Tasting notes
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley is from sites that are a touch cooler than Red Mountain, a truth that shows in its energetic red fruit and lightness of spice, characteristics complemented by compelling elements of tobacco and leather saddle. Sourced from Seven Hills and Pepper Bridge, the wine has an iron fist of broad tannins that should mellow with time and provide an intensity of structure now. The full-bodied power is balanced by underlying acidity and an uplift of velvety mouthfeel. Don’t miss out on this brilliant wine. Drink 2025-2037.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley, matured for 20 months in 60% new French oak, has slowly unfurling aromas of cassis, blackberry preserves, pipe tobacco, aniseed and graphite. The full-bodied palate pairs ripe, concentrated flavors with generous new-oak spice. It’s structured by grainy tannins and just enough freshness and has a mineral-driven finish. 350 cases were made.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley is delicate in the glass yet complex and inviting, slowly awakening with a bouquet of minty herbs, stone dust and blackberries. Like liquid silk, this smoothes over the palate with ripe red and black berries that slowly saturate, adding a youthful tension toward the close. The 2022 finishes long and chewy, totally classic in feel, with a bittersweet sensation that maintains freshness throughout.
